Back in April, Style.com/Arabia and the Dubai Design & Fashion Council (DDFC) launched a search for the Middle East’s next great womenswear design star in partnership with Farfetch. After sorting through 200 applications by designers from 15 countries across the Arab world, the selection committee (made up of industry experts like Style.com/Arabia CEO and publisher Shashi Menon, Style.com’s Tim Blanks, designer Zuhair Murad, and more) narrowed it down to 10 finalists, announced today.

IMG Announces New Venues for New York Fashion Week
NEW YORK (April 13, 2015) – Today, IMG confirmed that New York Fashion Week will move downtown into two unique spaces, Skylight at Moynihan Station and Skylight Clarkson Sq, beginning in September 2015 for the Spring/Summer 2016 Collections. The relocation is one step in the evolution of NYFW, which will be reintroduced as a new platform that focuses on content, caters to the needs of the industry, and creates a full cultural experience for guests.
After leaving his post as creative director for Emilio Pucci, it was rumored that Dundas may have gotten an offer from another fashion house. And it seems as if the rumors are correct. It was announced eariler in the week that Peter Dundas will be taking the reigns over at Roberto Cavalli. Dundas started designing at Pucci in 2008. However, he served as head designer for Cavalli from 2002-2005. “This is a homecoming for me. It is an honour for me to continue to evolve the wonderful world of Roberto Cavalli and I am very excited by the possibilities and potential of this unique brand. I cannot wait to get started,” he told fashionone.com. His first collection back with Cavalli will be held in September 2015 for the Spring/Summer 2016 season.
