Tuesday night, Pop star Miley Cyrus, and Talk show host Andy Cohen were honored at the 6th annual amfAR Inspiration Gala. The two were honored for their work in the fight against AIDS. Anderson Cooper, a long time friend of Andy Cohen, hosted the star-studded event. The event featured; a fashion show that was centered around men’s style, and a musical performance by the legendary Mary J. Blige.
When we viewed the Idan Cohen show back in February, we were dazzled by the beautiful intricacy of his work. Apparently, the stylists over at Cosmopolitan were too, since their July cover girl, Nicki Minaj, dazzled in a crystallized body suit from his RTW collection. Mr. Cohen debuted his designs for the first time at New York Fashion Week in February. We have no doubt it will not be his last. As time ticks down to September, we cannot wait to see what Idan Cohen has in store for us with his S/S 2016 Collection.

Now that summer is here, brands are gearing up to market their lines for fall and winter and with that comes the unveiling of the faces of the fall campaigns. The bohemian chic brand, Roberto Cavalli, has stuck to its love of beautiful singers in its choice of the natural beauty R&B songstress Ciara. The fall/ winter campaign is described as:
“The story of a world encapsulated in one room. A surreal kingdom where the walls look like a magical sky and surfaces enchant with desert volumes and earthy hues.”
After floating us into his garden on a cloud of lavender in September with his debut spring collection for 2015, August Getty ushered us into the sleek streets of the night with his Fall 2015 collection. Black Leather was the key to his collection, from dramatic capes to gowns made of flowing trains of leather, August ‘s woman is effortless when it comes to being the undiluted center of attention. Laser cut jumpsuits, two piece sets with peek-a-boo cut outs in the rear, the fall collection had everything a mysterious woman could want. The essence that his collections give off is that of a confident, fearless woman who oozes allure. When you see his designs, you want to be around the “Getty Girl”, but most importantly, you want to be the “Getty Girl”. Sexy, confident, sassy, and mysterious isn’t that the dream persona of all fashionable women?
Over the past year and a half we have seen the actress Lupita Nyong’o rise as one of the most popular and talented actresses in many years. She has starred next to seasoned veterans like Brad Pitt, Liam Neeson, and a plethora of others. Her talent has captured the hearts of many, but even better is her personality. Always humble, always smiling and gracious, you cannot help but see the light in her as a person.
All of that talent and charisma is topped off by her amazing stylist Micaela Erlanger, who also styles Oliva Munn, Common, and Winona Rider. It seems Lupita cannot miss with Ms. Erlanger at her side guiding her in the direction of the most glamorous, unique, colorful and jaw-dropping gowns. Below are some of our favorite looks from the actress styled by Micaela Erlanger.

This Mercedes Benz Fashion week, February 14, 2015 was monumental for many people and for many reasons. For the rising star Israeli designer Idan Cohen, he was not only debuting his A/W line of evening gowns but he was also getting married. The designer married his life and business partner, Elad Borenstein, right before his debut show in a beautiful ceremony with their families around them on the very same runway his collection would show. The excitement was palpable as people took their seats for the runway show.
As the lights dimmed, and the music of Beyonce’s “Haunted” played over the speakers, the models adorned in truly inspired gowns seemed to float down the runway. The intricate beading of Idan’s hand sewn designs was simply captivating. His flawless designs only enhanced the effortless beauty of the models. It is no wonder his designs are coveted by some of the most exclusive, and high profile women in Tel Aviv. It is evident in the craftsmanship of Mr. Cohen’s designs, that his time studying at the London Instituto Marangoni school of fashion is at an expert level. Below are some of the looks from his A/W 15 collection. Check out more of Idan’s designs at www.idancohen.net .
