The first draft of the CFDA-approved schedule for New York Fashion Week: Women’s has been released! This season it’s out earlier than ever and is subject to change. Updates to the grid will be made weekly on CFDA.com.
To elevate the NYFW experience and make navigating the week of shows easier, the CFDA has implemented a new structure to the grid. There is now an application process for new designers wanting to be listed on the schedule and events will no longer be listed. The grid is a combination of shows at both independent venues and group venues. The Fashion Calendar will feature the complete list of NYFW runway shows, presentations and events.
Some confirmed changes to the schedule are: Donna Karan will show on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 pm for this season only due to the Jewish holiday. Tracy Reese will show on Sunday, Sept.13 at 1 pm for this season only. DKNY women’s, meanwhile, will be shown on Wednesday, Sept.16 at 3pm, marking the debut collection of new creative directors Maxwell Osborneand Dao-Yi Chow. Maiyet will show during NYFW for the first time on Monday, Sept. 14 at 4pm.
Suno is moving from Friday evening to Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9 am. Coach is on the schedule at 4pm on Tuesday, Sept. 15 (the timeslot was previously held by Marc byMarc Jacobs). Monique Lhuillier will be moving from Friday evening to Saturday at 6pm.
