After four years out of the limelight as the head of his own house, as well as Christian Dior, John Galliano made a very triumphant return Monday night with his first “Artisanal” collection for Maison Margiela.
As Galliano purists held their breath for the debut of his new collection, we were pleasantly surprised to see garments that held Galliano’s classic penchant for grandeur and elegance. A collection filled with Jacquard platforms, feathered headdresses, embroidered and brocard coats was proof positive that Mr. Galliano hasn’t lost his talent for couture wear.
